Frequently Asked Questions on filling out the ARB form:

Q. What do I need to submit an ARB form for?
A. An ARB form needs to be submitted for any change done to the exterior of the property.  The only changes that do NOT require an ARB form are: Replacement of dead/dying plants, minor lawn repair, touch-up painting, etc.  For more information, contact the Board or the Architectural committee.

Q. Do I really need to attach all the required documents, even if they don't really relate to my improvement?
A. A property survey can be skipped if painting, but paint chips must be included. Specifications for a fence may be included in the written description of improvement.  All other improvements must include all the required attachments.

Q. What happens if I forget to fill out an ARB form before starting or completing the work?
A. An ARB form must be filled out prior to starting or completing the work, or a $100 fine will be assessed.  If you notify us and include the required documents, before we notify you, the fine will be waived, but if your project is not approved or will require modifications, then either the project will have to be deconstructed or modified to meet the requirements of the ARB or the standard rate for fines will be assessed.

Q. What do I need to submit an ARB form for the installation of a satellite dish?
A. Yes, and you are limited to one dish and it must not be visible from the road. On corner houses, it must be placed on the side that is not completely visible and must be near the rear of the house.

Q. If the improvement gets approved, do I need to get a permit?
A. Yes, if the city requires a permit, you will need to get one.  The city will require that you furnish an approval letter from the HOA.
